Lewis Hamilton secured pole position for tomorrow afternoon's Malaysian Grand Prix , almost half a second faster than his teammate Nico Rosberg is second, the two Mercedes drivers giving the team their first ever front row lock out at the Sepang International Circuit.
Lewis put in a blistering time, the second fastest ever at the Malaysia track, to secure his 100th front row start in Formula One, the first driver to ever achieve this feat in the history of the sport. It is his 57thcareer pole position and his 4th at this circuit.
Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo took row two for Red Bull with the Ferrari’s of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel will start from row three.
Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg will start from row four with Jenson Button lining up in P9 for his 300th career start, alongside the Williams of Felipe Massa in tenth.
